Possible effects include pain, swelling, bruising, headache, asymmetry, unwanted weakness, eyelid or brow droop, dry eye, or an unsatisfactory result. Botulinum toxin products carry a boxed warning about the possible distant spread of toxin effect, which can cause serious symptoms including swallowing or breathing difficulty. Seek immediate medical care for trouble breathing or swallowing or other signs of botulism after treatment.
